Corvette just announced a new Performance Data Recorder feature .. integrated with a GoPro like camera built into the rear-view mirror. Acura .. are you listening?

That's a Very Nice option indeed, but I wouldn't say it's a "got to have" feature as even the typical Stingray Corvette buyer will probably treat it as a novelty option.

1080p recording should have been the standards these days with 4K resulotion already on the horizon for everyday smart phones. 720p is adequate for a few more years tho I suppose lol.

I don't see it being a hard option to integrate on any car with a touchscreen interface and on board CPU, which is the norm these days.

How long before that stored data is used to document a potentially "abused" Corvette by GM, or gleaned by law enforcement to substantiate violations.
