What I wouldn't give to be able to see them race and walk around the pit area. Just being there hearing it and feeling the vibrations from the stands would be unreal.

Hah.. no, retired NSX Super GT (formerly JGTC) cars.

You guys may not know this but in December 2004, the whole JGTC series came over to the California Speedway (Fontana) for an exhibition weekend event and race. A bunch of us here and from other states had a large meet at the track and got to check out all the japanese race teams and cars. I am sure there is a thread on Prime with lots of photos.

That event was the best spectator race I have ever been to. MAYBE the F1 race I went to was close.

What was great was the minimal crowds and non-assigned seating that meant you could climb up into the boxes and just decide where you wanted to sit or stand.
