I looked and looked but could not find installation instructions on where (exactly) to mount the snaps for installing a nose mask (bra). Anyone have the wheel well measurement on exactly where to drill the hole? Thanks.

I don't think you have to drill any new hole.

You just remove one of the wheel well cover platic rivet screw and use the nose mask hardware in it's place. It should be obvious which one to remove when you put on the mask and see where the other side of the snap button matches up to.

Installing the nose mask hardware is a bit tricky, if I recalll (its been so long since I did it). I think you have to take a couple of the other wheel fender cover off and reach your hand up there to hold one side of the hardware kit screw. They you can use a scew driver to turn the screw. The back rubber side will be squeezed to fill the hole and secure it.

Turn the steering well to full lock to give you more space to access the hole.

Huh. If that's the right way, then hand it to the Honda engineers once again for figuring out such a simple solution. Thanks!

Yes it is that simple but...
When I did mine I pulled one of the rubber pieces out of the fender, tearing it, the first time that I took off the mask. The snap was so tight that its pull exceeded the holding power of the fastner. I bought a second install kit and repaired the problem. I am now very careful when removing the mask.

Thanks for the tip. I have read how tight the bra is to install the first few times. I will be sure to warm it up and exercise care when installing and removing. Don't want to hurt anything as the whole point of a bra is to provide protection.

remember to put a few good coats of wax on the front bumper cuz stuff gets down in there and while driving it acts like sandpaper,, but the NSX bra On mine is so tight that not much gets in,, but dont leave it on for long periods of time it will lossen up to the point of throwing it away,, and the part that snugs in the middle where the hood meets the bra that heavy chunk of plastic is supose to just hang,, so when you go to open the hood via the hood latch it will get in the way a little, my 2cents

+1 on not leaving it on too long. It will accumulate water and grit, eventually requiring you to repaint the frontal area. My '93 is in the shop right now having the front repainted. Consider going with "clear bra" technology if you want the protection

I only plan on using it during track events. So, it will only stay on for a max of 4-6 days. Hey, I'm already getting ready for NSXPO 2010. As with most NSXPO events, it includes 2 days of HPDE at the local track in Las Vegas. This will be the biggest and best NSXPO yet!

When I cared about the paint(as a new owner) and started track events I used the oem mask.Make sure the car and the inside of the bra are clean.Leave it on,don't keep putting it on/off until you are done.Let it dry if it gets wet.check the snaps and hooks often. At the track the tire may rub on the bra as it wraps around the front well, watch that.put some wax on the front of the car before installing.don't be afraid to stretch the hell outa the bungy hooky things to hold it on tight.

Thanks docjohn and to all those who offered some guidance. I have a Wings West body kit installed, so I am having to modify the lower bra hooks with a clever solution to get the bra to fit properly. Today is my install date.
