Is there anyone in northern california going down south for the JGTC race? The event is less than a month away. I was visiting the southwest forum and so. cal as well as the Arizona crews are all over this event.
We are talking about the most unreal NSX's on the planet at an event in our backyard.

GOING!!!!! I tried mentioning a caravan with NSX's, but none replied or have an intent on going! I'm currently going to join the 350Z club in their caravan and then join the huge 96 NSX's that are going to park there! If u wanna go or u can set up a caravan, let me know. I already have tickets & hotel!

Well, i'd like to leave immediately right after work and have the sac guys meet us bay area guys somewhere that'll benefit us all. I'll also see what time the 350Z guys are going so maybe we can have a huge caravan on the way down.

Keep me posted... would definitely like to caravan down... I was thinking of just taking a half day on friday... but if you guys want to leave earlier I could probably swing a full day off... keep me in the loop... Thanks!!!

I would like to leave town early enough so we can go to a bar or something in LA area... I'll probably leave sometime mid-afternoon or so. I have a V1, so I cruise around 85-90mph. If you don't have an issue with that, you should tag along with me.

I have an open schedule. So I can head down to So-cal whenever. The huge caravan sounds cool. keep us posted.

Here's the low down:

350Z club is a getting caravan as well. They're arranging 3 meeting spots before the long journey to LA. 1) pleasanton for the north & SF people meanwhile in 2) the southbay people meet in san jose & then all those from Sac & meeting spots 1 & 2 will meet where I-5 & 152 come together to join all 3 groups into 1 large caravan. They're thinking of the meeting spots for 1 & 2 to be roughly around 12-1 then the 3rd spot 1/2 hour or so after that. I'll get more details as time goes by.

Where is everybody crashing? I've heard the Fairfield Inn in Ontario...
From what I understand if you identify yourself as an NSXCA member you can get a discount the the FF Inn in Ontario. You may want to contact the hotel to verify.

Re: nor-cal JGTC caravan- update.

Ok, here's the lowdown:

South San Jose Meet Point
Where: Safeway Parking Lot
840 E. Dunne Ave
Morgan Hill, CA

@ 10:30 am

2nd spot for those Sac guys to meet us where the I-152 meets the I-5 roughly around 11:30. Then we can all cruz down together!! Let me know what you all think! There's roughly about 8-11 350z's going and others.

damn, its early... I might make it, work permitting.

Anyone leaving Sacramento, after 7pm?
I have a meeting in the area until then.
Then I will be hitting the road. I am connecting rentals at the Ontario airport, then on to the Mo Valley area.

Do they have Valet Parking at the FF Inn? Usually I like to stay at the Hyatt on Disneyland Drive, but this time it's too far. I think that's the best Hotel I've stayed at in L.A. so far. Price wasn't too bad either.

For D1 i stayed at the Pacific Palms Conference Resort. I thought it was just OK.

Is there an afternoon caravan? like 3pm? :)

Count me in for the south-bay meet!!!
Anyone else going to be there?
BTW... I followed NSXtasy's lead went to priceline and got a room at the Marriot for 47/night...
Is anyone bringing radio's for the caravan?

Update for the Event for those of you who have registered early this is an email from the guy who's setting up the NSX club down there:

Hello Everyone!

Well I just got off the phone with the JGTC event organizers, and I have Good News and Bad News

The Good News
THE WHOLE GROUP IS IN FOR THE FAN LAP!!! and WE WILL ALL BE PARKING TOGETHER IN THE TRACK INFIELD!!!
I also must tell you that the Fan Lap MAY not happen anyway because the organizers are fighting with the Insurance people to conduct the Fan Lap They are still working it and they are still optimistic but I just want you all to be aware... Either way though WE WILL ALL BE PARKING TOGETHER!!!
For those of you that have wondered or asked YES you will be able to leave early even if we are in the infield!
More Good News: I have the event admission tickets and will be sending them out to everyone ASAP!

Now for the Bad News
I will not be receiving the Car Club Parking Passes until Monday or maybe later!
That means that I will NOT be sending the parking passes out with the event admission tickets!
I am going to keep the Parking passes and personally pass them out by any of four ways.
1. You can come to my house in Seal Beach and pick up the passes after I get them (this is not good for all the non local people)
2. I will be in the lobby of the Fairfield Inn in Ontario from 7:00pm to 11:00 on Friday night 12/17/04
3. I or some other Club member will be at the entrance to the Infield Parking on Saturday morning from 7:00am until 10:00am
4. If you can't get the tickets any other way you can just park in the general parking and use your admission ticket to get into the event. Then just find the NSX club parking area and we will be able to give you your pass. You then can go out and get your car to join us!

These are the best solutions I can come up with to try to handle a BAD situation!!! If anyone has any other suggestions or would like to volunteer to help with these options, please e-mail me directly.
Again I find myself apologizing for the organization of this event
I will try to do what it takes for us to have a great time in spite of all these challenges!
Thanks for your understanding

Steve Riter
