Noise = Pulley or Air Compressor?

My air conditioning works fine (I had Brian rebuild mu CCU-Thanks Again Brian). I have a 1991 and it's been updated to the new refrigerant type. However, there is a distinct hum coming from the engine bay whenever I use it. It definitely is related to RPM and gets louder/faster with engine speed. The belt is new and properly tightened. It could be normal for all I know because it's been that way since I bought it last year. Any experienced ideas appreciated. Thanks and Happy Motoring! (I did a search so no flames please).

Great link, Thanks. I guess your right though, If the noise is only there when the air is running, it would have to be the compressor. I was hoping someone would say "That's Normal". I wonder how long it will last before it breaks?
Thanks Again and Happy Motoring!

It is a good possibility that it is the belt tensioner pulley. I had to replace mine for just this reason. Listen like the previous replys say.
