Hi all
Has anyone heard a grinding noise from the diff area like when your not in gear properly and the teeth are grinding against each other (not a missed gear crunch) while in neutral and turning a corner at low speed. It has only just started making the noise shortly after i did a burnout at a set of lights. It will make the noise while travling slowly in neutral and swerving side to side but will not make the noise if it is in gear with or without load.

Any thoughts.

Many thanks in advance.

I had those same symptoms/sounds... I hope yours is different then what was wrong with mine...
You could have damaged your final drive gear..
Is your car stock? I see the water injection, is it FI or NA?

Also may want to check the CV joints...
good luck...

Thanks Len the water injection is for the front brakes other than that the car is relatively standard.

Looks like i will have to delve deeper to uncover the problem.

Start by pulling the trans fill plug and changing the fluid... Hopefully you will not find metal...
