Noise Fix in Front End

Thought I'd share this...
I had a noise suddenly appear that could best be described as a soft, fluttering occasionally metallic sound that sounded like it came from just behind the steering wheel dash towards the front end. It would only happen while going over rippled or quick stutter bumps in the road. Drove me nuts!

When I looked under the hood, I saw there are 2 heater hoses that go into the firewall that are located just to the right of the spare tire bracket and the blower fan housing.

Moving them around I discovered they were very loose and had a lot of play in them and were generally rattling around whatever they could hit.

I saw there is a small plastic piece that is supposed to hold both hoses together and then get pressed onto a boss/protruberance sticking out of the blower housing. This had came loose and was no longer an interference fit onto the boss.

I just put the bracket back onto the blower boss/protruberance with 2 zip ties and no more noise!!!

Gotta look at getting the new piece but for now, this will do!

I was having the same problem, but it "went away" after the section of street where it occured was paved over. I'm going to have a look under the hood, thanks for posting.
