no muffler

There's really no benefit running without mufflers. If you want to do this for the street it would terrible. The car would be so loud that your ears would be ringing after 10 minutes. I tired the straight pipe with Taitec JGTC exhaust for one day and I felt like everyone was looking at me with that wtf is wrong with that person look on their face. Furthermore, on the track you'd probably be kicked off for exceeding the decibel limit without the cats and muffler.

I run no cats, no muffler on the street and at the track. Sure it's loud, but not obnoxious IMO (though certainly others may differ). The turbos quiet it down some, but at least I can still shoot flames out the tips :-)

Best regards,

Ben

Interesting to see how the guys with the turbo or supercharge don't like these items. Must be restricting to the engine, I assume.

Well, when forced induction is applied, back pressure essentially becomes your enemy (typically caused by catalytic converters, mufflers, etc...). Eliminating as much back pressure as possible allows the possibility of running higher boost pressures, in turn, increasing the horsepower output of the engine. Also, Naturally Aspirated engines need SOME back pressure to function correctly. Hope that helps. Personally, I would have to keep mufflers on the car if it was mine (I like quiet road trips). :) Feel free to correct me if any of my information is incorrect.

With a charger = No way way too f'n loud for the cops, and the track marshalls

With turbos = go for it, the wheel breaks up the db's so it is NOT offensive.

NA = somewhere in between, but still on the too loud range.

I see you have a charger. Good luck making it past ANY cops, and some tracks will not let you run.

Well, finally done it...I just had to see want it sounded like.It is very loud, haven't got pulled over yet for a ticket.I did however ,was pulled over by one that wanted a ride.I told him only if he promise to not give me a ticket.I still haven't decided if I'm going to leave my exhaust off or not.
