No Cantrell AIS install faq ? Any quick tips ?

Just received my new cantrell ais today after waiting for what seemed like a long time for it. Anyways, I want to install it, and from what it looks like it seems like I need to try and tackle this job from the drivers side wheel well opening.

Ive searched around and cant find any pictures or any other information, does anyone else have any quick pointers for me ? What will I need to remove to install this, and is there anything I should look out for ?

Update : removed wheel well liner, broke a few of those damn clips. Just saw another persons post about how to remove them. Wish I would have seen that earlier.

I can get the ais lined up to the port for airbox, but cant get it lined up with the grille mesh opening on drivers side perfectly. Also cant get the wheel liner to close as the ais is sticking out too much on the drivers side. Im almost wondering if I need to remove the grille and leave it open but cant imagine leaving it open like that.

I wish it would have come with instructions, wish there was a faq for this. Oh well, back to the garage to continue working on it.

I installed mine done last month myself and was fairly straight forward. Just remember to first slightly loosen the L-shape mounting brackets on the intake scoop before bolting the air scoop in place. Then adjust the fit of the air scoop so it butts up against the airbox intake and the mesh grill. Once satisfied with the fit, now tighten the L-shape brackets.

You will love the finished work. Don't know if there is actual HP increase but it sure sounds great. It's a worthwhile investment.

Good luck!

Update, its installed, figured it all out. Was having a hard time aligning the tube with the couplers, and the grille opening. Then had to wrestle to get the airbox back in since I took it out to try to align the tube.

Time to go for a test drive now !

Went for a test drive, car sounds really deep, nice tone.
Im happy overall, but this now wants me to further enhance the car with headers / exhaust. Ill wait for that though.

Next mod = hopefully get some oem wheels to fix my two front bent wheels.

I'd suggest a Taitec header as your next mod. It sounds even better then. :D

Greetings,

I hoping for a SOS group buy for a TAITEC exhaust after the holidays!!
