Nik Accepted to Medical School

Hey everyone,

I am so excited right now. I have been accepted to Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (the new Las Vegas Campus). I found out yesterday and am on cloud nine. This is big step for my dream to becoming a physician. I look forward to getting back in school and hitting the books. I know some of you are rolling your eyes on that thought but I am ready to learn. My mind is a sponge and I am ready to soak up the vast amounts of info I will be learning. I will miss all the AZ NSXer's but know I will be around in and in contact from time to time. There is always Prime and I will not be to far away. I look forward to meeting some of the Las Vegas NSXer’s. I will have my NSX and I will have to go on some drives to help clear my mind from time to time

I have lived in Tucson all my life so this is going to be a big step for me. If anyone has any information on the city of Henderson where the school is actually in that would be great. I will be looking for a house to buy seeing that I will be there for the next four years. Nice areas versus bad ones and any advice. I start in August so the ball will start to move very quickly. Many things to do and many people to tell I will be leaving. It is such a relief to finally know where I will be going but so many things to do now to get there.

All I can think of to end with is YEAAAAAHHHHHH!

Thanks everyone. I have been working very hard to get to this point and am so happy to get my acceptance letter. My next step is to find a place to live. I will be living in Henderson, just outside the city of Las Vegas, and have read it is the fastest growing city in the states. Hopefully Sandra and I will be able to find a home quickly there. School starts in August!! Thanks again everyone.

let me know how your real estate search goes. I have been buying a lot of new homes in the Phx area lately. A Las Vegas Agent told me that all the new builds are put on lottery drawings ...... I made a couple of calls and they told me it is virtually impossible to buy a new home... If there are new home builds for sale in the VEGAS area I would like to know please.

2nd, don't take your life too seriously. You'll likely look back a few years from now and wish you'd cut a few more classes..

seriously, most of med school is do-able without sitting at home 10 hrs a night studying. enjoy yourself, life heads downhill pretty quickly after graduation! hopefully you'll know how to crack my back by the time NSXP 05 arrives..

Our house will be open for all the AZ NSXer's (and new S2K friends). We all have to do another drive soon. Looks like the move will be in the middle of July and I start in August. Hopefully we will find a house soon. Real estate is exploding in Las Vegas and so are the prices.

Tuition is ....uh...... I could buy a 91 NSX every year for the next four years lets say. I will be the first class for Touro-Nevada. Touro's main campus is in Vallejo, CA. They opened up a brand new campus is Henderson this year. It is going to be tough being the first class but should be exciting. They cleared out all the osteopathic medical students from other schools from the Las Vegas hospitals to open all slots (no pun intended) for us. We will have great opportunites to do all of our clinicals and find great mentors.

lol no kids. we both wanted kids, just never at the same time. and an ex-wife seems to come with being in the Corps. we all need at least one warm up wife. i was divorced at .... hmmm ... 19? 20? i think.

ouch dude $29,650 a year? well, my alma mater is up to 33,300 a year.. hope your plans include plastic surgery as a career so you can pay the loans off.
