There are 4 consecutive track events from Oct 22-25 (Friday - Monday) by BMWCCA Boston Chapter (Fri-Sat) and White Mountain Chapter (Sun-Mon) at NHIS. You can register for just one day or all 4 days. I am going to attend Saturday and Sunday events.
The track is not as prestigious as Watkins Glen or Lime Rock, but I have heard many people saying that NHIS could be as fun and challenging (I believe that this depends on the personal taste). I saw 1-3 NSXs in the past events at NHIS, and they had a lot of fun.
It is originally a NASCAR track, but the only half oval is used for this event, and the rest is based on the road course (see the track map).
