I have a page scanned from a catalog and it shows a NSX having HID stock. Is this true for US cars? Can this be retro fitted into my '93 NSX?

HID is not or was not an available option on any year NSX. It is an option in at least the Japanese market.

The only 'built for the NSX' kit available is from RM Racing (www.rmnsx.com).

There are a few generic kits out there available, but fitment on the NSX is very difficult due to the small area under and around the headlights, as well as due to the fact the headlights are retractable.

That being said, the NSX, with it's projector beams, look GREAT with HID.

A few kits are being developed right now, including one from ScienceofSpeed.

Since the HID was optional in the Japanese market, is there anyone known to have imported it and installed in their NSX? How much would this run? I would think that this would be alot easier as it is an OEM device compared to aftermarket ones.

It is not easier because the Japanese HID setup is designed for right-hand-drive cars where you drive on the left side of the road. This means they have a different beam pattern than you need here in the US where we drive on the right side.

35 HUNDRED DOLLARS for headlights!
THREE FIVE ZERO ZERO!

Now that's what I call "Money to Burn"

For that price you better get an extra 30-40 HP increase in writing.

The OEM HID kit is $4500 canadian dollars .
include ( 2 JDM headlight housing , 2 invertor , 2 ballast , 2 bulb ) .
which is around $3000 US .
NSX parts was never Cheap to begin with .
