New window regulator problem to watch for!

Regulator style:
Post 93 (The one they replaced the old style with that does not require Dali window fix it kits.)

Symptoms:
Window would roll up 1/2 way then stop. When the window was lowered it would POP at the bottom.

Observation:
Window track was lubed and had plenty of fresh grease. The plastic pieces that travel up and down the slide looked worn and broken. The plastic seemed to bind the regulator.

Recommendation:
Be sure to check the condition of the plastic guides. I doubt Acura sells the guides as individual parts.

If anyone has a line on a used regulator please PM me.

I would be very wary of buying a used regulator. I don't like buying used for parts that frequently fail over time. It's like buying used brake pads without knowing how thick they are, if you know what I mean...

Great point! Looks like I will be calling Nellio in Sac, CA.

Update:

It looks like the cable bound in the housing. I took it apart (Kinda fun with the spring and all) and the cable was kinked so it will not set down flat into the spool.

Oh well, at least the window will operate like new with the new regulator. I will need to fix it soon or it will be a damn cold ride from OR to San Fran.
