My question is can I do the timing belt/water pump without buying the new cover?? Can they modify the current cover or do they just try to force you to buy the new cover for profit??

Nevermind, I did a search and FAQ and found the info. So, it seems that Acura can drill a hole in the old cover to house the new weep tube. Is this correct or will most dealers say they can not do that and they must have the new cover??

My dealer who is usually very agreeable, would not do the drill out procedure. Don't know why. I took it to my personal mechanic and he did it no problem.
