Hi everyone.
I just took delivery of a 2001 Spa Yellow NSX last week and its been a total blast so far.
My lease on my Audi TT is up at the end of summer, and I was planning on getting an NSX in August or September, but I found exactly the NSX I wanted at a good price, so I had to go for it. I guess two impractical cars are better than one.
I had the NSX shipped down from Boston with Intercity, and the transport went without a hitch.
I had only driven a 91 and 94 NSX prior to driving the 2001, and the extra ooomph of the slightly bigger engine seems to really make a difference, even with the extra weight of the NSX-T over the "original" NSX. I was also really surprised to find perforated leather in the car, even on the door handles and shift knobs. I actually really like the look, and am going to hold off on the titanium shift knob that I was planning to get.
The only thing I have added so far is the Alpine 630 CDRW/CDR/CD changer, which I was too impatient to mount using hardware. (Used the Velcro trick instead.)
Still need to hardwire a V1, add an alarm or OEM keyless entry, and get someone to install Stongard or Invincashield.
Anyways, just wanted to say hi. Hope to meet some of you at one of the upcoming events.
Regards,
Rick.
