New Shoes for the NSX. What Tires?

I just scored a set of wheels (19x9.5 41 offset and 18 x 7.5 41 offset) for the NSX. I think they will look great and now have to select some tires. Any suggestions on sizes will be appreciated. I am also wondering if this wheel/tire combo is going to affect my speedo readings.

Edit: I used my ipod touch for reference on the lip size.

Did a little research and it looks like 275x30x19 rear and 215x35x18 fronts. I'm still a little worried about rubbing in the front though. Comments?

You shouldn't rub in the front. If it does, it's at full lock. No big deal

Tire selection sucks in 275-285. Try 265, more abundant choices especially with matching fronts, AND cheaper in price.

Those look exactly the same. Do you have some pictures with all the doors closed and from different angles? I would be interested to see how it looks. What size are your rims and what offset?

I just read your post #1 again and they are the exact same off set and size as mine. My front tires are 225-25-18 / 265-30-19 on the rear and yes it does rub on the front at full turn. If you don't mind please pm me where you score these wheels? Thanks

Do yours rub on the inside or the outside? The funny thing is my car is going in for paint and I was considering everything from wide body kits to just leaving the car stock. I decided to go with the Wings West lip and 02 rear valance and leave everything else stock (black roof, stock sides). The side skirt thing was driving me nuts but the only ones I really liked were the Wings West or Stacy' skirts and in the end I figured that stock was just as good. Thanks for the pictures.

The info on the ebay described proved to be my wheels, especially the 2" curb scratch on one of the wheel. The rear wheel to be exact...ask me how I know. These wheels need to be correct before you can put them on your ride. I treasure these wheels while I owned them but sadly I decided to leave them behide. Yes the front wheels do rud on the inside.

I was planning on taking them to get the minor scratches fixed. They will also test them to make sure they are true. What did you mean by "wheels need to be correct"? They don't appear bent or anything. Or were you referring to tires?

If you're looking for good tires, try Dunlop StarSpecs or Falken 615s. They grip like mad and they're not too expensive.

They won't last more than a summer though.
