New radio install

I'm not a big fan of installing aftermarket head unit.
Hope nobody stomps on the subwoofer.
Is that a Phoenix Gold amp? Do you have covers for the components in the trunk?
I do like the yellow accents though.

92nsx,The install was a pain in the but.(because you have to get new uncut center console unit then have it painted)Yes,it is a phoenix gold amp and all the trunk components are covered by plexiglass with yellow neon lighting behind all.My interior speakers were all changed to diamond audio and the sub is illusion.The sub is boxed,carpeted around and the grill on the front is metal.(pretty hard to dent unless you really kick it).oh yeah,with the new alpine head unit I no longer need my smartenna so if anyone is interested please let me know.JD
I love Phoenix Gold. They rock. I have an old MS-250 that I use in my Integra.
Do you have any covers other than the plexiglass over the components in trunk. Like maybe a mat or carpet or something?
What made you decide to have the grille exposed to the interior. Granted someone would really have to stomp on it but I wouldn't want to take that chance myself.
Where did you get the install done?

That is what I was looking for.
I something similar to that in my trunk. To avoid the heat issue, there are two fans installed to push/pull air by the amp to help reduce the heat.

92NSX,As Alient mentioned,I folded the mat down so you can see how the sub was done.I will be removing the rubber backing off of the upper portion of the back of the mat so the mat covers the sub but the sound can easily pass through.
NYCNSX,I don't use the car daily(only nice days and weekends)so the radio is not used for super long periods of time.One thing I am going to do to help ventilate the amp is have the acura logo carved into the plexi above the amp to help ventilation.I think it will look pretty cool also.
