Here at EuroBoutique, we are not just a vendor but also true NSX owners that are always looking for ways to improve the car....this is a never ending ordeal as we want make products that first and foremost we would use in our personal cars. We would never sell something we don't give our stamp of approval!
In the custom fabrication world you can do a lot of crazy things and sometimes it works out, sometimes it does not. For our 2004 GPW NSX we decided to build a custom fiberglass box for a JL Audio 6" subwoofer. You can see more info here:
Final result is below:
It looks very stealth behind the OEM floor mat and sounds amazing!
Our latest endeavor is to dig deeper and create a super thin subwoofer box to hold a single JL Audio 6W3 woofer. The goal is to make this a drop in box for ANY NSX. As you guys know certain model year cars have a control unit behind the oem subwoofer. Most of the time you have to relocate this item to gain space. We are going for max depth so the passenger won’t even know there is a subwoofer however our new design does NOT require moving this piece.
The goal is to use every inch of space and build a truly hand built enclosure that forms around every nook and cranny of the factory footwell. The idea is to lose virtually NO SPACE or LEG ROOM. The only way this can be achieved is to really tighten up the design of the box to use up all the available airspace.
here are some photos of the build process:
Check out our YouTube channel to see this box installed in our 2004 GPW NSX:
We will be offering this box in 2 options:
a) Fully Carpeted custom hand built fiberglass box ready to accept a JL Audio 6W3 subwoofer
b) Carbon Fiber finished hand built box with carpeted rear section. This is for those who want to show off their subwoofer as it will have matching carbon fiber you find in all of our interior bespoke NSX dash panels and other trim pieces!
