Hello Primers,

After searching for over six months and selling my Exige, I have placed an NSX in my garage. Missed out on several cars that were sold before I could make an offer or get car checked out but am happy with the end result which is a basically stock Formula Red '97 with 52K miles. My thanks to members of the forum who assisted in one way or another, in particular Mike (Du SportsCars), JC (Valhalla), and Roger (Dhalsim). Car is from the east coast and since I live in Florida didn't have to ship across the country. Plans are to keep car's appearance stock but have already ordered a Pride V2 and installed SOS intake. Will probably replace oem shocks with Bilsteins but keep the stock wheels at least for a while.

Congrats Steve - sounds like a good one. You will love the Pride V2 exhaust (the only mod I've done on mine). Give us some "proof of life" (pics!!). Cheers :eagerness:

Welcome to the club. Glad to see you finally got one. Hopefully you can bring it to the next - and last - cars and coffee.

welcome to a much "roomier" comfortable exotic car experience.where in the east did the car come from?

Steve, congratulations! You got good one. I was considering buying that car as a second NSX. I know the car. Originally owned by another primer "tom4416" in VA area. Tom sold the car only because he was having either knee surgery or ankle surgery. Can't remember exactly. You can probably look up some posts by tom4416 and see some additional history about your car.

Be sure and come to NSXPO 2013 here in raleigh in October. There will probably be a number of other FL owners coming up. You are in very good company down there.

Regards, John Komar Co-Chair NSXPO 2013.

How do you like it compared to the Exige?
Different as night and day, Exige is really a semi-refined track car, some compromises have to be made to keep it at around 2000 lbs.! The NSX is much more refined, the Esprit is a closer comparison.

Where in the east did the car come from?
Franklin Tennessee (near Nashville). Barnman has done almost all the routine maintenance.

Welcome & looking forward to some pictures
Will try to take some hopefully later this week weather permitting--has been raining two days straight.

congrats welcome to the better side of the exotics. gets more looks at car shows than the other sheep

Steve, there are lots of good pictures on the seller's ad in the classifieds on the forum. Probably can just copy them over into this post. (Don't ask me how to do that, though!)

By the way Shawn, I am counting on you to lead all these new owners in the SE up to Raleigh in October for NSXPO 2013!. You know what they say "if you build it they will come......and who's been building more than you???

Welcome to the club! The elise was in the running when I was searching, but I've never regretted buying my teenage dream car (the esprit was a close second). What a marvelous and overlooked machine!

I hope I can drag some of these new owners up with me in a huge caravan, but then were all gonna get pulled over cops hate cavavans of cars they can never confiscate

since we are all hard working tax paying good hearted souls. that most of us own guns LOL

you new guys had better Join NSXCA if you want to join in the fun. thats the only catch.

Congratulations and welcome aboard. I drove your car in late summer 2011 on my way back through TN on a cross-country trip. Steve, who you bought it from, is a good friend of mine and it one of the most fussy people I know when it comes to taking care of his vehicles. You picked the right NSX.

Congrats on purchase of fine example and I also learned something: Nashville TN is on the east coast

Me too.........:stupid:
