I have been visiting this forum for a couple of weeks now and just registered, last week I purchased a 1996 NSX-T, Plum with an Onyx interior, 5 speed, w/10k miles VIN# 295 and still on the Certificate of Origin. I have been waiting about 5 years to purchase one, it was a tough decision because I and the general manager at a chevy dealer, but I couldn't resist when this one came along. I have 2 questions, 1) my car is totally stock, all books, papers, window sticker etc, if I change wheels for instance will this drop the value of my car? and 2) are nsx owner's very active with meets and events, I am pretty active locally with the corvette community (obviously due to the fact that i work for a chevy dealer and own corvettes), and I would be interested in getting involved with my nsx. thanks for all the great info also.

Congratulations with your purchase.
Welcome to the world-wide NSX-club. I think you have just joined a club of very happy drivers all over the world.

Wish you lots of fun and save driving.

Congratulations and welcome.
Always good to see a rare-color car.

1) Changing to aftermarket wheels should NOT drop the value. I'd hold on to the stock wheels if I could -- the 16/17 wheels seem to be in demand

2) There are SEVERAL very active folks in your area... check out nsxca.org for more info. I'll let others add to this too.

Congratulations on your new car,

If you are concern about modifications and the value of your car, do reversible modifications only. That way, you can return the car to stock when time to sell comes(although I do not see it happening on NSXs).

Remember, your NSX is unlike non-Honda sports cars, keep the engine above 5000.

its funny that someone called my car purple, i definitely would call it purple myself, i love it because its different, thanks for the responses and i'll definitely follow up with the recommended contacts.

Howdy mikescg.

Looks like this is the day for new Boston NSXers. This is my first post! (Just got mine last month).

I have a couple questions as well for my 1st new topic post but wanted to say hi.

Regards,

McAttack

Welcome aboard! The S2000's are more active as a group in the New England area than the NSX'ers are but there are a couple of us here that span the two...

I'm definitely among the active ones in Boston. I drive around almost everyday.
