Just drove a '92 home from LA. Interesting trip- was lost in LA for an hour and a half trying to find the freeway out.

Anyway, the car is red (wanted white but love the car anyway), manual, and I decided to buy the thing from pictures- it looked pretty clean from what I could see.

After arriving at the owner's house, however, I was in for a few surprises. Some things I had seen from the pictures, for example, I knew the wheels and exhaust weren't stock. Turns out both are Comptech, the wheels are the 'forgeline RS' I saw on the gallery page of the FAQ.

What I couldn't see was that the intake had been replaced with a big cone filter (not sure if I like that, might switch it for a stock airbox with one of those cantrell scoops), and that the front brakes weren't stock. 13" brembos.

So to balance out those parts, I have a radio antenna that won't extend all the way, slow driver's side window, and a completely dead climate control unit. Other than that, everything is good. Even passed emissions today on the first try.

Congrats. Post pics when you get home. PM briank on the climate control unit, put an S2000 anteanna on it, both my windows work slow. BTW I'll take them brembos off your hands.

Hi Nick,
Make sure you check in on NWPac forum to get in touch with us local NSXers
Congrats,

That's what portable GPS's are for !
I picked up my 92' in Orlando last Oct and drove it 1800 miles to Denver without ever looking at a map, just followed GPS voice directions the entire way. Went through several major cities too, Atlanta, St. Louis etc. without a hitch. They are priceless for long trips and getting pretty cheap too.
Enjoy your NSX !!!

Thanks for the friendly welcome, guys. The car feels great, and the color is really starting to grow on me. I have a GPS on the way, and I just ordered a new antenna. One of the 'shark attack' style, I hope it works.

More details? I got it with 129,000 miles, someone had set the idle at 1500 for some unknown reason, and I'm not sure if anything has been done to the suspension. Not really sure what else to say at the moment.

Thinking I should spend some money on track days rather than trying to get more power- the car deserves to have a driver better than I am right now.

I did the same thing. Bought mine this fall in OH and drove it back in one day to NC by the watchful guide of the GARMIN. Best money I have spent in a long time, oh, except for the coin spent on the NSX.
