I'm not from NY, but when you mentioned the Taconic State Parkway, all I can remember is the chase scene in the movie "The Seven Ups". I think it was at the Millwood exit where Roy Scheider ran his car into the back of a semi parked on the shoulder. A must see. That section of highway still looks pretty much the same today as it did over 40 years ago. Sorry for getting off topic :smile:
No, it was in the northbound lane and I was going south. AS it was approaching in the distance I first took note of the headlamp shape which and how low and wide the car looked. When it was upon me and I could see the left front corner and side perspective and then it was clear what kind of car it was. Pretty neat looking.
