German car mag "auto, motor & sport" has a calender in it's new issue with release dates for new models in 2005. At "Honda" we see a mark in october 2005 with "NSX successor/presentation". No further info or source provided in the mag, sorry. Isn't there the Tokyo Motor Show?

Usualy this mag is known as relatively serious.

that's a long time to confirm, haha. Who knows, maybe by October of next year, BAR-Honda will have wrapped up the Constructor's title in F1 and it will perfectly coincide with this new "successor." Can't think of a more appropriate way of introducing the new one.

Sounds like, "Wishin' and hopin' and think'n and pray'in, planing and dreaming..." (recorded in 1964 by Dusty Springfield.)

Now I'm dating myself.

Timpo, if u expect the next nsx to hold off the F40 then your in the wrong boat my friend. F40 is a solid go-cart. NSX's idea is a super car that anyone can drive...most f40 drivers can't even press gas without being nanced by the power.

Topend,

Timpo said the F430 not the F40. The F430 could and should be what Honda is competing against. However, it may be hard to extract 450+hp out of a N/A six-cylinder.

Sorry, I miss read it...

The nsx Type R now can out do the f360 on track...I do have video do in mind of it..

Now with honda using twin turbo's in JGTC maybe that is a sign of future development for the next nsx?

They also have a V8 from mugen that sat in the back of the 95' nsx lemans...now that i think of it , it too was a twin turbo...

The only hope i have personally for the next NSX is that it goes further with lightweight...The lotus elise is an amazing machine because of it weight...The toyota engine is down on power but look at the results on track of the cornering speeds....

I also would love to see Honda going after the F430 but it would not be wise. In 2007 we will see a successor from Ferrari and in 2011 another ... going V12 and 600hp ... and 300k$! Sky is the limit for them since they have rich customers backing them... ;)

Honda should evolve the NSX and "fight" the 911 class, a 380hp light car would do the job. Price below 75k. And a facelift/successor with some additional hp and features planned every 3-4 years...

Even winning F1 should not lead Honda to the crazyness of producing a not required, by the consumer market, hyper car. ;)
