Hey Guys,

Just writing to introduce myself... I just purchased a 97 Monte Carlo Blue NSX 6 speed from Miami which will be arriving next week. The car has huge HP plans, though the time frame is a little uncertain. Anyway, I look forward to meeting you all.

From a blue Supra to a blue NSX.. :)

Hey Dennis, long time no see. Hows it going your way??? Hopefully we'll have another get together soon and we can check out your new NSX. Will you be working on the car asap and will this mean some downtime for the car or are you going to be gradual? Knowing you, your NSX is going to turn out bad ass. Do you still have the supra?? I've have not seen it in awhile. Also i have seen a white one with a TRD rear wing around town lately. Anyone you know pick one up?? Sorry about all the questions, its just good to hear from you. ttyl

Hey Nik!

Same old stuff here really... I need to get the car here to evaluate what path I'm going to take. (It'll get Teins and HREs ASAP however) I have the big horsepower path planned, but I need to decide if this is the car I want to do with. (Making a break out OBDII to OBDI harness is not sounding fun) The car won't have much downtime though-- I'll be building a 3.0L on the stand while the 3.2L remains in it. The one-off turbo kit will take the most time... But as you know, I'm not scared. :)

Great to see another NSX in Tucson! You have my favorite color!!! I am jealous because I really want a Monte Carlo Blue! I hope to see you soon.

Heather

Hey Heather,

Well, you know the expression that everything is for sale. :)

Anyway, I didn't know that we'd have Tucson people on this board-- very cool. We should have some local get together very soon. My good friend Chris K owns Precision Honda Inc on Grant road (and in fact lives 5 doors away from me), and has several NSXs as well. (93 custom supercharger, 97 racecar, and a Zanardi, though it may be sold) I'm sure we could get him out as well.

Also, is there an Arizona NSX mailing list?

Hi Dennis, and welcome to NSX ownership. Monte Carlo blue is a nice color.

There is no AZ NSX mailing list per se, but there is an NSXCA Southwest mailing list/Yahoo group although I don't think it's active as this site. For the past several events, we have just been using this forum as our communications board.

BTW, I desperately want to do a drive soon.

Hey Dennis, congrats on the new purchase! Good to have another NSX around :D

I wish we could start a mailing list for all the AZ NSXrs, Chris and I have a pretty good start, but we just need to get it all together so we can send out emails for events, etc.

I am still in for a PHX to Tucson drive with some sort of activity in Tucson...I think it would be a fun drive for the PHX people going down to Tucson, and it would be fun for the Tucson crew to have the whole group in their stomping grounds :D Any interest anyone??

Take care all

Hey Seth,

Good to hear from you. I believe that I saw you over at Curtis' shop a few months ago... I was there to pick up a few parts for my Supra and the white car was being worked on for NSXPO/SEMA.

Anyway, there is an NSX Arizona email list. Simply send an email to [email protected] and you're added. You can choose to receive as emails, daily digest, or on the web. Think that'll work?

For those who haven't tried email groups, it's much better when you have a local group with low activity than web forums.

As far as the NSX drive goes, you guys could come to Tucson through Florence-- much more interesting drive. (basically just take the 60 East past Apache Jct) There are plenty of places to eat here, maybe drive up Mt. Lemmon for a photo op (and a VERY fun drive!), etc.

Me too are jealous, Monte Carlo Blue is my favorite color for the NSX.
BTW, congrats on your new ride, good choice!!!;)

Hey you know Chris, tell him Yvonne said "Hi!"
How is his race car coming?

If we do drive down to Tucson on Monday, we should get everyone out for dinner or something.

Hope to see you and your Monte Carlo Blue NSX soon!

Hi Yvonne,

Thanks for your email and kind words! I've known Chris for many years-- I started taking my old Preludes to his shop. The racecar is painted, cage is in, and basically the body is ready to go. Next up is tackling the OBDII harness.

I went out to Miami yesterday and purchased the car... It's on the transport back as we speak! Pictures are coming soon.

How many other Monte Carlo blues are there in AZ?
