Always wondered what an NSX would have looked like with a fastback. I love it!

Does this mean they're going to sell it in Australia for sure?? They'd better!! :D

If you read between the lines from the speak coming from Japan then no they may not even make a RHD. Looking at the sticker price of the last NSX in Australia 2005 $260k this new NSX would be well over $300k would you pay that much for a Honda??

I really surprised they have done this.... And so much talk of the "old" NSX. What I am happy about is all the talk about the human experience in the car.

Wow and they actually used the front of an 02+

And silverstone bitch.... How come you didn't notice that part...

That price is why it failed to sell all around the world. It was priced at Porsche levels, and just below Fazza levels, for a car that was more exotic than either, and a better car to boot. But it was allowed to stagnate and was too "slow" to garner much respect from the motoring press [many called it too civil] so it bombed badly. But looked at analytically it was worth the entry price for what it was - an exotic of the highest order in every way [except towards the end of it's life it lacked horsepower, and a lot of it to boot]. God forbid they make the same mistake again!

As for selling it in Australia, well I happen to know a couple of sales managers, and they initially said it was definitely a goer for Australia, but things may have changed?

Very cool site, but it continues to exaggerate the first NSX's beautiful swooping tail end compared to snub rear end of the new concept...

LOL Agreed that's the concepts only flaw

I was wondering about this as well as you saw in the Vtec.net thread we're both in. Pricing the new NSX at the price of the R8 with a V6 even with the hybrid power might a downfall. Starting at $120k with a V6 against V8's , V10 and the GTR. Guess we'll have to see what they deliver.

And where are you getting 120K from?

Eh was a number floated by someone on Vtec.net. He's pushing up the price of the next NSX. I agree with Car and Driver on a price somewhere between a 911 and V8 R8. I honestly can't see it being more than a V8 R8. He's also saying forced induction. I don't see that either but next NSX is supposed to have some lofty goals i.e 458, Mclaren. The 911Carrera 4S isn't too off the 458 performance wise and it starts at $97k with a 400hp V6 and 7spd DSG. Gets almost 80% better fuel economy to boot.

Tech has/is changing. If Honda can keep the weight of the NSX to what the 911C4S is (3200lbs or less) even at 400hp the NSX will perform better than the 911 and at 458 levels. Why? Because of the way the tq is getting to the ground. This new system of theirs should level the hp disadvantage by making the car super efficient.

GTR's turbo don't have instant tq it weighs more than the 458 , has less HP yet it's still a faster car than the 458. Hell even Ferrari can't figure out how and why the GTR is as fast as it is. People need to stop focusing on HP numbers with the next NSX.
