Well, if you have not watched the short video and noticed, this is not Honda's doing. It is a concept I have been working on since late 2008. This was an incremental on-and-off affair. My direction was reality stretched, but still grounded and practical extremities. The idea is very reminiscent of the Furai concept, but more simplified detailing with fewer, minimal lines. I can give a more detailed account of the genesis of this NSV project, but for now, I will try to keep this post short.

To my surprise earlier this year, the Tony Stark NSX was spied recently with very positive reception and a new concept was soon announced. So I hastened to complete the project that I had been slowly refining over the years. My aim was to produce a video to demonstrate my take before I would lose footing once the new concept by Honda was revealed in 2012. So the title is true, my NSX 2.0 concept, revealed earlier than expected. I believed Honda was going to abandon the NSX and their sporty roots, thus giving me ample time to refine and showcase my design.

I look forward to seeing Honda's concept and see how mine will stack up. I am quite sure Honda will blow us away. This was my first attempt at editing and producing a short film, let alone a 3D animated one. My video was created by one person, with outdated software across two laptops (since 3 years have passed, I did upgrade my laptop). So please be forgiving or gentle with my efforts

Really nice animation and 3D rendering.

Pray tell, who did this? I'm looking for someone with these talents.

Very nice! Impressive. Keep up the good work.

That is Great

You should submit that to Honda!

VERY NICE!!!

If I really had to criticize, the rear end is a little too concept-like to make it into production. However, the rest of the car is refined enough to be a finalized product.

Terrific effort, much better than the Avengers' car or whatever concept drawing/rendering we see now based on it.

Nspec for president...............................................of Honda's vehicle design team.

Thanks for all of the warm comments. I am glad NSXPrime likes the concept.

Yea, the rear does appear somewhat flimsy or structurally unsound. I admit that it bothered me too, but when I added more bulk to it, it just did not click right to me, so I went back to my original design. I imagine it as-is with serious reinforcement beneath the mesh for safety. The mesh itself, although appearing wire-like in the renderings would be solid extrusions and not all of the recesses would be hollow, especially the bottom area.

And to geek out, here are some wireframes shots to give an idea of how the surfaces were created in Rhino

That does look great! I'd like to make that in carbon as an optional body for the WIKISPEED cars. Shoot me an email- [email protected].

Seriously, your car will look amazing life-size with a honda engine holding down the middle.

I bet that the real thing will look like a$$ next to that.

The high arches in the back throw me off, but otherwise, that car would make the world take notice!

You've got talent, too.

If it looks like this, I will die, come back to life, save my money, sell my soul and buy one!

Great Work!

You know what I LOVE about this design?

Not only is it awesome as a stand-alone design, the most impressive thing about it is that IT EVOKES THE ORIGINAL, all while NOT merely a derivative of that design, but taking it to a whole other level.

It's easy to look at it and think "That's an NSX", which is EXACTLY what a new design of a classic one should be.

Totally applaud this effort.

Oh, nice wheel design, too!

Superb effort. WOW, just WOW.
