Hello Ladies & Gentleman, my name is Mark, and I'm a new member on the forum.

I'm not a NSX owner, I actually own a Nissan 300ZX (hence the name), I would love to own a NSX one day.

I mainly joined this forum to keep an eye on your marketplace. I'm currently looking for a set of wheels for my Z, and since the NSX has the same bolt pattern, and runs similar offsets, I thought this would be a good place to keep my eye on. Also you NSX owners seem to run some of the higher end wheels I'm looking for.

Who knows I may find a NSX to buy on here too.

Anyway just wanted to say hi.

Welcome to the community. Hope you find what you are looking for here.

Welcome!

The NSX Club of Canada is quite active in southern Ontario with events all over the province, concentrating around the GTA. You should join up and make it to a meet some time soon, we don't bite. I promise.

I know of another member selling a set of bronze TE-37's in 17/18 for sale right now at a very reasonable price if you're interested.

Congrats on your good taste and welcome. I owned a black '91 300ZX 5-speed around 12 years ago, I absolutely loved that car. Like you I've yet to graduate to an NSX but stay tuned... As for 300ZX's, you'll generally find love and respect here for them. IMHO few cars feel so "just right" upon first sit than those two. Search around the forum and you'll find some good 300ZX talk although the more you look around here, the quicker you’ll likely get sucked in to seriously searching for an NSX. Some good 300ZX/NSX talks:</SPAN>

I travel to London ONT semi-often so keep me abreast of your search, I would like to see a 300ZX and NSX side by side in person one day. Feel free to drop a line with any questions should your NSX hunt begin soon… I’m an “experienced” NSX shopper lol and probably could teach a master class seminar on NSX hunting, especially white ones. You’ll find a very great group of enthusiasts here, some with a deep breadth of technical expertise. You'll quickly notice too that this forum is many % points higher on the maturity scale than just about any other car forum... </SPAN>

And if you come across a set of NA1 NSX-R wheels, please do let me know…</SPAN>

In a few years this story will read "so I came onto this forum looking for some wheel for my Z and $108,000 later I have this turbo NSX with 02 upgrade and custom paint. Can anyone tell me where I can get Toda cams?"

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Hey Sean, I bought my Z in Ancaster, just thought I'd throw that out there since I see you live there. I went to an event a couple years back hosted by RSP Motorsports, and there were a lot of NSX owners there (close to 20) So I've noticed that it's active first hand.

Yep got some good taste haha, why'd you get rid of the Z? Not sure if a NSX is in my near future, but if you want to see my Z next time your in town drop me a line.

I'll keep an eye out for those wheels too!

That would be awesome haha, maybe in a few I'll have my first NSX, but I don't think I'll have a fully modded one in a few years. Maybe a few decades. :)

No photo? Boo!
300ZX is a great car, always been a fan of the styling but have yet to find myself behind the wheel of one.

Here are some older ones. I didn't take any pics of my Z last season. Since these pics my car has been lowered.

I sold it after the 3rd time it left me stranded within 12 months. Clutch hydraulic problems, brake hydraulic problems, and I forget the 3rd reason. Drove it from 79k to 125k miles in a little over 2 years. Loved every minute and made it thru two Pittsburgh winters with it but enough was enough. I am very much looking forward to an expected more reliable experience with the NSX. How has your ownership experience been regarding reliability? How long have you owned?

Mine looked like yours but with OEM exhaust and no spoiler. Alum04org has a similar 300ZX too...

Personally I find the 300ZX OEM wheels very tasteful and original and always worthy of a look-back; I have yet to see a Z with non-OEM wheels that looked better than OEM. So good luck with your challenge ahead! :)

Edit: and I would like to add - I sold it via Autotrader to a girl from Buffalo who met me in Erie, PA for the hand-off. As I was getting close to the meetup I called to verify what kind of car she was driving. She then asked me what kind of car I was driving....yes she was blonde and upon arrival smelled like stale hairspray, stale perfume, and stale smoke all at once. NONE of that is made up or exaggerated. :) I was so sad to think of where my car was going...

Saw a white 300ZX this week near Cranberry, PA. What a great looking car. Inspired me to dig up a few videos.

Sorry to temporarily hijack your thread into a 300ZX shrine, Mark. Maybe is a good reminder of what a great pre-NSX you have in the 300ZX. Here are a few more videos to park here for any 300ZX fans. I've never seen some of these and can't wait to watch them this weekend.

Yellow 1991 300ZX featured in the 3/26 American Top Gear. Horrible threadjack going down here but with "Attridge 300ZX" as a user name at NSX Prime, who's really to blame? :) Cloth seats and aftermarket wheels but still...that profile...what a looker!

Attridge, any news on your search?

Back to 300ZX's for a moment: someone please buy this so we can hear about it once in a while. Neal W?

Reminds me so much of my black '91. Looks so good even 20 years later. Seeing this one makes me a little sad that black cars are out of my system for now. These were so much easier for entry/exit than my NSX yet don't look much taller to me. How cool it would be to have something like this next to the Yeti in the garage one day.

Welcome Attridge.

I love love love the Z and prior to getting my NSX, I did "look" into it.

I still want to own one some day.

Ha ha that is so funny. I have that saved since last week to see how high it was going to go for.

black/black low mileage twin turbo-drool!

At $23k, it still hasn't met the reserve price......approaching low priced NSX territory:eek:
