Hey NSX Prime,

I've been a long time looker of NSX Prime, but finally joined! I purchased my 1992 NSX about three months ago. I wasn't a big fan of THE NSX before I got mine, but since I've had it.... I love it!!! I am a very big fan of NSX Prime... and I will appreciate any help I can get from fellow NSXers! Since NSX's aren't that common around my county, I never knew about NSX Prime until I encountered few of its members along the way. Very happy to be a member now, and hope to hear from you all in the forums!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to Prime, and congrats on your 92 NSX. Any pics?

Yes, let'[s have some details about your car and its purchase? Congrats!

Can I inquire why you were'nt a fan of the car. I've been a fan since 1991. What promted you to buy a car you did'nt particularly like. Glad to see you made it to the dark side.

Welcome! Now we need some more specifics about your car. How did you find it, what made you decide to buy one?

Here are few pics of my NSX!

Thanks for the WELCOME!

I bought the car three months ago from a private seller, for a very cheap price! It had been stored in a garage for like 8 months, so the guy decided to get rid of it, since he had no use for it having many other cars. A few specs on the car, it has 98,000 miles, has Antera Rims 17/18", just found out not so long ago that it has a Air Intake scoop (dont know what kind) but looks carbon Fiber!

I had been looking for a Z06 for a while but no luck with in my price range, so the opportunity to buy this car came up. Once I drove it, I decided it was the car for me! Im loving the car and all the aspects of it! Planning to keep it for ever!!!

Wonderful! It looks like a clean car. Make sure you have done the 90k service, the timing belt, and water pump which were due at 90,000 miles (and several years ago) so she keeps running well for a long time to come.

So, how great of a deal did you get? You said you got it really cheap....how cheap are we talking?

Actually, I thought the wp/tb service was due at 60k for the NA1 and 90k on the NA2 engines. I could be wrong though.
I too am curious as to what he paid for it.

I just did a search and the information I found said 90k miles.

OH I GOT IT FOR 19K WITH 95000 MILES, BUT THE ONLY BAD THING IS THAT I HAVE NO SERVICE RECORDS, SO I DONT KNOW IF THE 90K SERVICE HAS BEEN DONE ALREADY OR NOT! HOW CAN I FIND OUT?????

Meeyatch is correct... the suggested replacement of the timing-belt is 6yrs/90k miles, as per the FAQ maintenance schedule. For 2000 models, "no scheduled tuneups for 100,000 miles" as according to NSX-Wiki.

Welcome, Looks like you have a good car for the price.

If you know what geographical area the previous owner lived in, you can contact Acura dealers in that area and ask if they have records for the car. Otherwise, if you don't get any, seriously, take it in for the tb,wp service. I would also change all fluids in the car and get a valve adjustment. Should be able to do it all for around $2k. Then you can drive the car without any worries.

Congrats

I thought I recalled for my year 2002 it was 7 years 90K - am I wrong?

 WOW!! $19,000 is a steal for a clean title car under 100,000 miles as long as it is in even decent condition. Update the services and you are still sitting pretty on price. Well done. Enjoy!

That is quite a bargain. If you don't have the service record, play it save and get you 90K service as well as changing your timing belt/water pump. I think changing the balancer when you change the water pump is also recommended. Nice looking NSX.
