hello everyone,

ive been reading up on the NSX forums for information and tech chat for a while now and i finally decided to make an account. I'm an active member on other car forums such as S2ki / Honda Tech / JDMR (rarely) / 8thcivic and 9thcivic. I own a '00 AP1 S2K and the car is stock, not including OEM accessories.

As we all know, "OEM is best" and i don't want to ruin the original integrity of the car by modding it excessively. Here are some pictures of my S,

Ive been given the opportunity by the old man to "resto-mod" his '94 NA1 NSX. Most parts will be replaced with new OEM parts (and the old kept for spare). Ive had some ideas like a BBK, new rims/tires setup and possibly some engine work.
As i said before, id like to keep the OEM integrity of my cars and due to this it will be an on-going project. Simple work like spacers/rotors/pads/rims are all easy to remove safely and install again without a professional. I'm not too familiar with the tight NSX engine bay and i know it can cost a lot of money on labor if your tech doesn't know what he's doing.

Can anyone suggest a shop or professional Honda tech that will handle our NSX with ease? I'm located in the GTA area and i don't mind traveling for proper service.

Cheers!

Welcome to the site. Great looking S. Very clean. Any pics of this said NSX?

Hi,

The NSX Club of Canada use Oakville Acura (Sponsoring Dealer), their Head Tech is the number one NSX Tech in Canada and our Club Technical Director. Using the Club discount you are entitled to 20% discount on parts and labour, you can also bring aftermarket parts for installation.

As far as modding goes, we have several members that have their NSX modded, perhaps you can sign up for one or our events, so you can speak to these Guys directly.

For conservative types, the typical route is:
02+ rear valence
Bilstein on oem springs at the lowest perch
wheels, SS lines, upgraded pads and slotted rotors
drop in filter element in oem box (which flows best) and exhaust.

Vendors here are reliable, SOS carries everything you'll need and Rob Magro at Oakville Acura is your man. If you want an indy garage with NSX expeience, go to Albert at Speedstar in Markham. As exotic as the NSX is, they are very simple cars as long as you respect the fact aluminum doesn't deform like steel and parts are more expensive than your average Honda. Custom parts...you are part of the R&D costs due to the small market for these cars.

You forgot the part where after you do all the mods, you sell it for a GTR and then tell everyone how great the GTR is ... while staying active on NSX PRIME. :)

Shhh...

Sounds good, i will look into contacting the Oakville Acura dealer in the near future. Id also like to attend one of the local GTA meets, although the s2k is now stored away...im sure many people have resorted to winter beaters. Is there a winter beater thread ?

In his defense, i think the 'GTR' evolution was and will always be legendary. I will always be a Honda/Acura enthusiast, but i have to say... favorite car of all time is the Nissan Skyline GTR R34 (and if possible, ill take the V-Spec II edition  )

Welcome to NSXPrime!

Love your S2000! One of the most fun cars to drive I have ever owned.

We are starting to stock quite a few parts for the NSX at Teknotik, so feel free to give us a call if there is anything your looking for. Thanks!
