The car had 48k miles on it. I bought it two years ago from an Gentleman from Illinois. The Car had 9k miles at the time. I drove to RCC four times a week for fore months from Huntington Beach, 100 miles round tirp, which means most of the mileage were highway miles.
I had the Timing belt, water pump, all the hoses, master clutch cylinder, both head gaskets replaced back in February by Autowave, a local NSX specialist, and since than probably another 10k miles on it. The car had a minor parking lot incident - a car backed into the fron left fender at my shop. I requested a new OEM fender, and paid a little extra to have the entire front end repainted (to remove all the rock chips). The body work was done by 20/20 auto repair, they do a lot of feature cars you see in the magazines, and the paint job has a life time warrentee. The Engine is in top shape. By the way, the tires are one month old.
Potential Problems when I trade it in. Will need new clutch some times soon. Still on the original clutch. The dealer test drove it by an NSX tech and he didn't think it was a problem. The only other problem is, the driver side speak needs rebuilt (I saw a guy on ebay will do that for 80 bucks). There is a scratch on the center console cover, which irritated me. The driver eather is a little worn, but not too bad.
The dealer took it in on trade for 30k. When I went back to get some stuff done on the new car a week later, nothing new seems to have done. I"m sure you can work the deal with replace the clutch and any other parts into the purchased price, so you can finance it with the deal.
I bought the 03 for 72 grand, with 4.49 percent interst, the dealer made only 2 grand on this deal. They want to score big on my trade, so they tagged 13 grand over what I agreed for, but if you follow the standard rule of auto profit, 10 % over cost is more than enough to sell the car, so I'm sure around mid 30 grand, you can get it.
Well, let me know if you have any other questions.
