In their ongoing effort to move farther and farther from their tractor company roots, the guys at Lamborghini (now part of Audi) have anounced a new car.
The L147 (production name to be announced, but it will continue the tradion of fighting bull names) will be shown on Sept. 7th to current clients and to the public at the Frankfort auto show later that month.
The design is typical Lambo; steel space frame, steel roof, aluminum doors and carbon fiber fenders and hoods. Engine is a 48 valve, 6.2L with an output in the 550-600 hp range. It will come with permanent all whell drive like the VTs used.
Pricing is exptected to be just under $200K, so it will go up against the Modena. With considerably more hp, they may actuall convert a few of the guys waiting around for their F-cars to show up.
