So I answer an ad in the local paper to check out a used WRX that's for sale, I need a wagon-like car and the WRX sounds pretty cool. The car's in good shape, so i ask, "why are you selling it?" John says that he just won a new Toyota and he doesn't need the WRX anymore. "Won a new car? Cool! How'd you do that?", I ask. That's when he tells me he just won the championship of the Toyota/Atlantic Series. He's been approached by Rahal, Newman-Haas, etc.
"John Fogarty?" I ask him. "Yeah," he says. And he looks at the NSX and says "Cool car." So after I test drive the WRX, which is okay, I take him for a spin through the mountains of the Pacific Coast in the NSX. He'd never even been in one! I had to let him drive, and he's pretty fast, and now he's completely sold.
Look for him at one of our local meetings soon!
