Here's the PDF with the new rules: http://www.fia.com/Presse/F1-A/2002/25-10-2002.pdf

I kind of like them, specially this one:

World Championship points - From 2003 points will be awarded down to 8th place on the scale 10:8:6:5:4:3:2:1 (previously to 6th place on the scale 10:6:4:3:2:1).

This should definitively give some advantage to the Swiss team (Sauber) and to Honda!

Only bad decisions are the retire of Spa Francorchamps (I loved that race) and how to handle the team orders... how can they verify an order happened?

Anyway, a LOT better than Wrestling!

I think that the new tire rule which says that 'tire suppliers will now be allowed to bring two sets of tyres for each of their contracted teams' is bad. The tire manufacturers can have 'special' new compound tires in the back of the truck for favored teams.

I would have preferred the winner to receive 14 points. IMO there should be a BIG advantage to winning the race. The current points system rewards the winner with almost twice what the second place finisher gets. This is as it should be.
