Yesterday I did the first test drive with some new goodies, I installed over the wintertime.
-Exhaust
-Sway bars
-NSX-R brake kit with SS brake lines and Nissin performance pads
-LED shift lights
-Suspension fine tuning
-Weight reduction with a lot of aluminium screws and some new cf parts
A new exhaust system was 1 point at my list.
High flow cat converters comes from Random Technology and are a good choice. I got them from DaliRacing.
Now my race sway bars (25,4 mm) fits again, because the test pipes were 3 inches in diameter and too big for that pipes.
Exhaust comes from TAITEC, its the GT lightweight exhaust from ScienceofSpeed with 2x 90mm tip.
(Remember me at the prototype NSX-R tip)
Very lightweight unit with beautiful design and sound.
It fits perfect, 100 % symmetrical.
The welding is excellent and its definately a part for the showroom too. I'm looking forward what will happen with the
sound after some laps at the track. Until now I dont need the quiet tip exhaust silencers, were in the Taitec box too.
Headers are from 93 LeMans car. (Honda R&D, japanese JASMA production)
That parts harmonize in a way, I never expected.
Surely its a small, but noticable difference between cat converters and test pipes, but I wanna be street legal for one time.
The sound is amazing at higher rpm's (+ 3.000) and quite smooth and deep at lower rpm's ( - 2.000), perfect for a street car.
If I hammer the car, it sounds like a modern (race) car should sound.
After 10 years driving with test pipes and a very loud racing exhaust its a new experience for me.
But soon I will test that exhaust with test pipes too.
