Hi all,
Reading this board over the past few months has been very helpful, no doubt fueling my desire for an NSX. Five years ago I bought a beautiful, low milage '95 NSX in Minnesota and drove it for a year (red). For reasons too long to explain here, I traded it in on my "dream car," a new '01 BMW M5. Within a week I realized I'd made a mistake, but it was too late.
For the past 4 1/2 years, the M5 accumulated dust in my garage and only 9K miles on the odometer. Nothing was wrong with the car, but that NSX had stolen my heart. There was no getting around it. On Monday (March 28) a yellow '02 NSX from Acura of Libertyville in IL showed up on a truck here in Phoenix. (They now have the BMW). Tuesday I cleaned it and today took it over to have Mark Basch in Tempe to have him check it out. It has just over 11,000 miles and seems perfect. Other than the never-before-seen Continental tires it is wearing, Mark found no flaws either. It's hard to walk past the garage door without going in for a quick peek.
Information on this board has already helped me find and order the right CD Changer for it (with the appropriate adapters) and clean and wax it correctly. You've pointed me to both Mark Basch and the Science of Speed guys. So, thanks! I hope to meet some of the Phoenix NSX'ers in the future.
Regards,
