I was down there this past weekend and saw to my surprise that they had 2 NSX in stock, one new and another used(yes used).

The silver/black is new, while the white/black is used with 1xxx miles on the odometer.

I'm not sure if the silver NSX is the same one I saw last December, I doubt it is based on a past post about some divorce issues because of the car, but who knows...

The white one really surprised me, back in the showroom with 1xxx miles. Does anyone know anything about this car? Just curious, that's all.

Oh, they also had a 97+ black/black, tint, polished wheels as well.

In case anyone is interested, go check it out. I have no interest...yada yada yada

Thanks for the heads up. Am very interested to see GPWhite in the '02 skin. The '02 silver on silver 'divorce special' was 'sold' on eBay this week for the second time.

I spent some time at Hoehn Acura today looking at their inventory side by side. A great opportunity to see the '02 vs '01 re. esthetics. I took a few digital pictures so if any of our forum's members want copies please PM me.

The '02 GPWhite has the white interior. 1,200+/- miles. Asking $87,900.

The '01 Blk has the tan/blk interior. 2,300+/- miles. Asking $79,900. CF "RM" induction...requested list of other mods. Paint generally excellent save one rock chip and swirl marks.

The '02 Silverstone/blk new 'from factory'. Asking $89,765.

If I can help further please PM. As is the custom...no financial interest what-so-ever. Just a lot of fun today. Thanks again Richard for the heads-up.

Michael,

No problem, glad the info was helpful for someone.

I didn't notice that the white '02 had the white interior, I think I'll stop by and look at it again. The young salesman was watching me like a hawk, even after I told him I was just looking around and didn't need help.

At least the other silver sold on ebay, I'd hate to see it back at the dealer.

Hopefully they have brochures!

So anyways, I walk into Hoehn today to look at the white/tan '02 and the same young guy ask me "do you need help?" So I asked if he could unlock the car so I can look at the interior. He says "No I can't unlock this car, but my manager can. See we keep these kinds of cars locked up but let me check what I can do."

*side note, the last time I was there the '01 black was unlocked)

Needless to say, I said forget it...You have poor service and you just lost a buyer.

I'm sure this guy thought I couldn't afford to buy the car, so why show me right? Whatever, I'd be more than happy to give my money to a dealer with the right attitude!

So the importance of this story? I guess the stories of bad customer service from dealers will never end, and that they'll never get a dime from me!

Richard,

I must be missing something. They were going to unlock it for you - maybe even invite you for a test drive, for all you knew. So what's the problem?

Sounds to me like you're pretty quick to take offense when none is apparently intended...

Richard,

Yeah, I don't quite understand why you were so upset?

Did they keep you waiting for long time?

Keeping the car locked seems reasonable to me. I certainly wouldn't want scads of people and kids sitting in my new car.

Ken..Jim,
If you guys were there, you would know what I'm talking about. It was his attitude and sarcasm, and tone of voice that ruined it. I'm sure if I drove up in my NSX he would be more than happy and willing to unlock the door, hell, he might even be nice about it.

Aaron, I have plans for the weekend, but even if I didn't I doubt I'd like to go back there. Have fun looking at the car if you go

Richard,
Yeah, I know what you mean. I can walk up and down an Acura dealership, and they don't give me the time of day. I'm probably just another one of those kids looking to ask mom for an RSX, but also wouldn't mind sitting in an NSX. Hmm, hey Richard, you think it's because......nah, I don't wanna start that discussion.

Hahah, same here. When I was getting an oil change for my NSX at Cush Acura SD, they had that now famous 02 silver/silver still sitting in the lot. I had some questions and no one would give me the time of day. So I sat down at some sales persons desk. He kept reading his morning paper and was basically ignoring me. I politely asked him some questions. No interest at all. After he found out that I had an NSX at the service dept, he put away his paper and gave me his full attention. It was funny.

... but then again, I look like I'm 14 years old.

To whom it may concern...
Im the young salesperson you spoke to at Hoehn. We keep all 3 NSXs locked in the showrm to keep the kids from jumping in and out of it. The blk 01 NSX was unlock for a couple of days because we were fixing the aftermarket alarm system...it was too sensitive. When you walked in I ask you if you needed help...your reply was no...then you ask to sit inside the NSX...I said they are all locked I do not have the keys but if you liked I can ask the manager for it. Then you turned away and stormed out. I don't know why you got offended...were your feelings hurt? If it were it was not intended...my apolgies. You can ask Randy who I am because I sold him the cars he is driving including his blk NSX. Ask him what kind of person I am. Randy this is Justin. I left you a message at your hm. I longer wk at Cush...neither does Michael. Give me a call at hoehn...you know I will still take care of you. Hope you and the family are doing good.

One last thing...the last person I sold a NSX to he pulled up in a 89 Legend wearing a pair of slippers and shorts...so who am I to judge. We are not always wrong...being nice to someone is a two way street. Granted there are many bad sales people out there...but don't think all clients are good. Randy if you see this when are you going to sell your SC400?

Now this is what is called humility. After seeing past posts from salesmen, I don't recall seeing one any better than this. This guy stepped up and didn't throw mud back at anyones face regardless of what happened.

Thank you Tom...I am not perfect, nor am I here to judge...all I can say is...lesson learned. The story on the used 02 white NSX is a trade in by the owner to a Lexus dealer in LA. One word...he "hated" the car. He thought the car would be much quieter. Brought a SC430 instead.

Justin,
Hey there! The number you left with my daughter got all mixed up. I returned the call but got some strange message. Give me a call again with the info (leave it with my wife this time...hahaha). I heard about Michael. Now that both you and him aren't at Kearny Mesa dealership anymore, I don't feel like bringing my cars there. Should I start bringing to Hoehn?

For everyone else, I just want to say that Justin has always been friendly, fair, upfront, and honest with me in all the times I've dealt with him. I would hope that it was strictly a misunderstanding between him and Richard. As I said, there were very few reasons to purchase and service three Acuras since 1999 at his "previous" dealership, and he and my service advisor were just about the only two I can think of.

In '91 I was invited to drive a NSX by a salesperson at Hoehn when he knew full well that I could not afford one ($85,000+/- going price). Gave me a copy of the hardbound silver/blk NSX book NC before I left. Now that is rolling the carpet out.

Last Sunday I too experienced the 'locked door' situation. Made sense to me...bad enough with all the 'customers' rubbing up against the fenders etc. myself included. It is always a fine line between being open, no pun intended, and protecting the eventual owner's investment.

Justin has represented his new dealership in a professional manner and with grace. Byron, my salesperson, sent me the mods info I posted on the black '91 as he promised. Good to go.

Randy I will give you a call on Monday. Please bring your cars to us if its not out of the way...I will made sure you get loaners at all times. Like I said I will take care of you. And for everyone else I know walking into a dealership can be crazy at times...but not all salespeople/dealers are alike. Hopefully Richard will be back...if its me he doesn't like thats fine...the dealership had nothing to do with it. And I will be glad to unlock any of the NSXs pronto.

Free loaners? Does this apply to all SD NSX Owners?

Do you guys fix warranty "repairs" that other dealers didn't do properly?
biggrin.gif

Honestly, how do you rate the NSX tech's there at Hoehn?

Our company policy is we do not offer shuttles to our clients...we have a fleet of over 200 loaner cars. All Hoehn customers with an appointment for service will be offered a loaner if one is needed. That includes something as basic as an oil change. Warranty repairs you may have to speak with the service dept. Two of our techs own NSXs so Im sure they know what they are doing.
