New 2005 Red Black NSX

Hello everyone!!

I just got the last Red/Black NSX in the US. I was at McGrath Acura in Westmont IL when I saw the car in the showroom. I got in and locked the doors so the salesman couldn't get me out!

After much negotiation I leased the car for 4 years! I was so happy driving it for the first time. I only had it for 60 miles and about 60 people were looking at the car everywhere I took it in Chicago. Their heads would even turn 180 degrees.

I'm now back in CA in Rancho Cucamonga awaiting delivery of the car. Hopefully it will be here next weekend. I'll try to post pictures when I get it.

The car finally arrived yesterday morning. Here are pictures of the unloading off the covered car carrier. McGrath Acura rejected the open car carrier in favor of this covered truck.

I took the NSX for a cruise around Rancho Cucamonga and the new Victoria Gardens mall and it was fantastic. Many of my neighbors gave me a thumbs up sign. I even took it to the local BMW dealer, and all the salesmen stopped their work to look at the car! They completely forgot about their 645CSi etc...

I guess I thought I had the last red/black NSX, but I was mistaken. I should say I have one of the last few red/black NSXs in the country.

The Honda lease deal expired on July 5 I believe and I was negotiating on July 20 which is 15 days late. I ended up with the car on Aug. 8 with a 4 year lease instead of the usual 3 year.

While waiting in CA for the car for 3 weeks I went to the local Honda dealer, and I saw the S2000. After starting the engine and seeing the softtop go down automatically in 7 seconds I started to think I should have leased the S2000 instead. But now after getting the NSX and cruising around I think the NSX is well worth the money. It's a supercar experience that one would have to get a Ferrari or Lamborghini to enjoy. And these cars are at least double the price or more.

Makes me regret not bringing my camera when my NSX was delivered to my acura dealer. It's a pretty sight to see it with all the white plastic protection all over it. It's like a new born with diapers on.
