I went to the track on friday night and ran the car again. This time I had a new clutch and et streets on my factory wheels. Using the same 8.6lb tuneup I had previously run 12.0 @ 130mph(street tires), I ran [email protected].
Everything felt great and the a/f was good. Jimmy from HP Performance was at the track doing the tuning and making sure everything was safe. I plan on going back in a few weeks to try for 10's with a little more boost.

wow! you know what i'm getting when i go for boost? stock motor/bottom end?

From a design stand-point HP's kit is pretty good. Pipes are close to equal length with a good runner design.

I know that factor X has a kit also but I never see any pictures of it so WHO KNOWS about the engineering or quality of it.

Hey factorX why no posted pictures? Do you feel that you have done something that isn't already offered from Lovefab, Elite(momin), Marc's set-up from AZ, Turbo-Labs, or one of the other do-it yourself set-ups out there?????

If you have......well I know your a shop and you put food on your table with the money you make from your tunning secrets so keep it a secret!!, but something tells me that between the other 5 kits out there, your not doing anything diffrent, so why not share are advertise your fab skills to push more people into talking about the design and purchasing the kit?

I think you may have it the other way around; we have been building turbocharged NSXs much much longer than those you mention. Somehow (probably due to area restrictions) some look very similar with similar parts. We’ve been asked by a magazine editor to build his NSX with an FX500 and provide a full in depth interview on why we did what and what we have found to work. Think of it as a guide to turbo charging the NSX for the public’s eyes. If everything falls into place it should be out later this year. One of the reasons we do not post as much is we simply do not have the time to write paragraphs and paragraphs of responses, rebutles, etc. Mike gets plenty of that on the phone so it gets kind of old. In addition, there are very very few tuners/builders with the resources and knowledge that we have at our disposal so we are quite comfortable with what we produce. I’ll post a pic of some of the fab work for you to take a look at since you seem to be the FI maven and regulator here on prime:biggrin:

As far as putting food on the table, it doesn’t even put food in my cat’s bowl:) Mike is the primary and the NSX market only makes up a fraction of his total revenue. The call volume he gets is ridiculous. Averages about 40 pages a month on his phone bill front and back! So he keeps quite busy:) On top of that we have been campaigning our Street NSX along with building another unlimited NSX to prove our capabilities not only in making the power but properly setting up the NSX to perform in all aspects of motorsports venues.

CCathy, I apologize for hijacking this thread! Good job again on putting down the numbers!

Thanks for the response. I had no idea. I'll be eagerly awaiting the magazine article. Thanks

Running in the 11 seconds with a bolt on turbo kit and stock block is AWSOME.
If you have a chance to run 10's is even better. U must have some great driving skills. What is your 60 ft. times?
Is your suspension stock? Is your transmission a stock 5 speed? What clutch did u get?
Thanks for posting.

No driving skills here. Just out to have some fun. The suspension and tranny are stock and the clutch is a spec stage 3+.
Here is the time slip.
