netflix?

We use them all the time. It's great, except that my wife always picks crappy movies.

I think there is a truth in that. When I first did the 2 week trial movies would fire and turn around real quick. But it seems that they max you out around 3 every 4-5 days. During a month's time frame you'll be able to knock out around 18...

no problems at all and we love the service.

Yeah it is a great service, but what you mentioned is probably not a coincidence. Usually they get the movies in and out right away, but recently they've been shipping out movies a day later, sometimes two! That's not cool if they're throttling it back like that.

awww, even money says she wants to see if they'll expand the program to include "spouses", rather than limit to "wives".

my bad, i'll check with their customer service dept.

Same here, I LOVED it for the first few months. I could send a movie out on Monday morning and have the next one back Tues/Wed night. Over time, it made it to Wed/Thurs. Within the past month, it is Thurs/Friday. It is annoying, as sometimes that does not give me time to turn them around between work trips.

I am fairly certain it is an intentional move by Netflix, as sometimes a movie will not ship 1/2 days after the previous one was recieved. This always used to be a same day deal. I love the service, but hate the new beancounter rules.

That's still an awful lot of porn....

>>if they feel that you are returning the dvds quickly

This is because they have John F. Kennedy's killer and Jimmy Hoffa going over eveyone's returned DVD's. They do this from a secret base on the moon. If you don't believe me then JUST PROVE OTHERWISE.

It has a lot to do with the development of VTEC, but I can't say how or why.

I tried it and gave it up two months later. They send out movies pretty fast, but the ones you send back to them take too long. I could not turn movies around fast enough to make it pay. It was better for me to just to to blockbuster down the street. And now, I have on-demand. so I rent few dvd's

Really? Blockbuster actually has a movie in stock that you want? That's simply unheard of at my local Blockbuster. I eventually stopped going in there after it happened enough times.

Is NetFlix always slow or is this a recent trend? Could there be a delay in delivering them because the mail is always 1 or 2 days slower during the holidays? I'm just throwing that out there as a possible reason.

I haven't noticed a shipping issue with Netflix. I think it has a lot to do with how far you are from their warehouse. I'm only 30 minutes from San Jose, CA (netflix headquarters) and I get movies back within a day or two.

one thing i did want to note.

When you're on the trial period, you get the 'perfect' disks. After you start paying... you get the 'general population', do not take out of circulation until someone complains, disks...
