The wife and I are going to sell the house and do some around-the-world travling for about six months or so. I need to find a place that I can store the car.

Does anyone have any idea where I can store it?

Thanks.

Doug

Vroom...

uhh, err, hmm... Ask MrWolf

p.s. make sure to get insights from your insurer of the coverage, etc while it is in storage at a locale that you do not own. :)

Hay Phoen$x --

Are you serious or is that just a joke? I posted on the general board regarding a "regular" storage versus having a place where I could keep the car and have it started, moved around, etc.

NO REPLY versus the pros and cons on the general board. I have a place here in Santa Barbara that does lots of exotics. When I spoke with the owner, he said he would store it and run it, and in fact take it around the block a few times. I've known him for years and he has done work on my previous vehicles. (When I stopped by to see him there were a few Lambos, several open wheeled cars, etc.)

Anyway, are you serious? I think I would want the car started and moved versus a cold storage.

I went to grad school in Phoenix. Where are you?

Hi Doug, I live in N/W Phoenix, Arrowhead specifially. My post was made partly in jest (because I didn't think anyone would ever take me up on it!), but yes--I would be glad to offer my garage space to a fellow NSX Prime owner in need, as long as the insurance issues are worked out. It would be a dream come true for me as well, since I've always wanted two NSXs in my garage. ;)

Here are some pros & cons, in case you want to further entertain my offer:

Pros
+ AZ has no earthquakes or other natural disasters to speak of, and very mild weather.
+ Very low price (can't beat free!)
+ Your NSX will be babied, and exercised (gently!) regularly by an anal retentive car freak.
+ I have a car cover, extra trickle battery charger, water softner, and detailing supplies to keep your NSX in pristine condition.
+ Basch Acura, as well as several respected Acura dealerships, are nearby should you need any service done.
+ You car will be cared for by an avid car enthusiast with a squeaky clean driving record (no tickets and one not-at-fault accident in 14+ years).
+ Your NSX will be stored in a clean and clutter-free enclosed garage.

Cons
- AZ has one of the highest car theft rates in the nation, although your NSX would always be parked in an enclosed garage, or under constant supervision while out & about--it would never be left unattended.
- You would have to place your trust with someone you don't know very well.
- I am not a business, so insurance would be an issue (hmm...maybe I should go into the carsitting business professionally! :D).

Hay Danny, good to here from you and glad to hear your car is running again. I kept reading your thread about the problems you were having. I also saw your brother not too long ago. That black and tan car of his is looks brand new.

I was asking about you when I was a Gold Coast Acura for a service the other day.

I'll give you a call.

Doug

Doug, in case you were wondering about what kind of facilities I've got, here's a pic of my attached single car garage that is completely separated from the two-car garage. I would be glad to keep your NSX in it. The house is set back a good distance from the street, so it would be well protected.
