Hi,

I'm totally excited about joining the run on Saturday, but noticed my front right wheel is flat. Since I haven't driven the car in weeks, it could have been a real slow leak or a quick one. I'm just not sure.

Can anyone recommend a repair shop that can take care of this for me between now and Saturday (and not scratch my wheels)? I'll never track the car so patching would be okay. Or maybe it's the valve stem. I just don't have experiance repairing tires and I hate to replace the whole thing since it has less than 800 miles on it.

Thanks,

John

safe yourself the headache and take the car to a tire shop, like tire rack and have them fix it for you, if you bought tire from them in past the fix is free, but it shouldn't be to expensive. since it is flat now use your air pump and put air in it and take to shop to have it done right, just my 2 cents and what i would do if i was you.

I really like the Les Schwaab in town. They always seems to have well trained staff and take care of my NSX.

Have it looked at by a tire shop. They will find the leak and determine if it can be fixed. When you go to the tire shop ask for the Manager - have him/her handle your request.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback.

I've been pulling crazy hours this week, so I knew I didn't have a whole lotta time to address this. I looked up my nearest Les Schwaab on my iphone and it happens to be in San Carlos. I called, told them my situation, and they said it should take no more than 15 mins. "Should I make an appointment?" I asked, "No, just drop by" was the answer I got.

Hours later, I dashed out of work a little earlier and only had a 30 min window before I had to meet a tenant at 6PM. I drove in to the Les Schwaab parking lot at 5:35 and they had me fixed and out of there by 5:50. I was floored. Here is the best part, the guy told me he wouldn't charge me a dime, just to keep them in mind for my next set of tires! You bet I will! I'll need an alignment done within 6 months anyway (Bilistein on lower perch planned), so I'll go back to them for sure.

At the end of the day, it turned out to be a valve stem issue. They took care of it in no time flat. Thanks for the advice guys! I'll make the drive on Saturday after all

Thats almost the exact same service I received at the Tracy location when I asked them to look into a small leak on my front tire. Manager came out, fixed the leak and said no charge just remember us next time. Now all my cars go there for tires and break related issues.
