Has anyone ever bought or seen the silver and black carbon fiber dash kits from Legend 5? Has anyone ever removed such a kit? I bought a car with the brushed aluminum kit already installed, it's not my favorite thing about the car. I'm thinking of trying to have it removed (back to stock) or, install the silver/black carbon fiber kit. After removing the aluminum kit, I'm not sure if all the glue can be removed from the stock dash. I may be forced to install something else. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I had a Legend 5 aluminum kit on my SC300 turbo. When I took it off, I used a little goo-gone and got every bit of the glue off, and it didn't harm the factory plastic or wood. You can also use rubbing alcohol, I believe that's even safer than goo-gone. I was just not in a mood to mess around, and knew that would take ANYTHING off. :D

Also, I do like the CF dash kits, and am thinking of installing one on mine. I have to get something custom made though, because I have the SoS center colsole with a custom radio cutout. Legend 5 in the past would let you send in a template of what you need, and they would laser cut it for you for a little bit more.

This may be possible; however, the coating on the NSX dash is very fragile and may pull away from the plasic when the dash kit is removed. I was faced with this problem as well.

I had the CF kit and did not care for it. It was in the car when I bought it. I traded it for stock.

If you try to remove it, use light heat. Start with the door cluster and see how things go. If your dash has the kit on it there may be unpleasantries lurking under the cover (Wrinkles, scratches.) Best of luck.

These kits are liked by some, so I will not address how I feel they look when installed. Pay close attention to the fitment of the part that surround the top section of the dash vents and clock.

Thanks for the tips and comments. I'll probably try to just remove it first and see what happens. I'll post the results in case anyone else has to deal with this. I would still be interrested in positive or negative comments about the apperance of a silver/black kit installed on a black interior. I have considered buying the kit just to see what it might look like without actually installing it. I called Legend 5 to find out if they have sold any in my area but no such luck. Thanks again everyone.

I purchased a dash kit off e-bay about 8 mos. ago. The kit was supposedly laser cut to fit precisely over my scratched dash, console and door panels. After pre-aligning the kit, I noted a few inconsistent spots where the kit didn't line up exactly. I must admit the door panel assembly fit perfectly. The kit itself seemed a bit cheap for the $300 price tag. After some haggling with the company, I sent the kit back.

What I eventually did was purchase a factory replacement dash piece- excluding the door panels. It was a bit more expensive, but the look and finish was incomparable. Good luck.
