thanks larry. i'll inquire.
does anyone have a suggestion for the most economical solution with the best results? with the dali/act set up, i'm looking at spending close to 3K!! yikes!!
that could go toward my winter beater! but i guess that's the price you pay for owning an exotic.

Just a suggestion:

The complete Dali setup is $1250 for parts. That should get you going for a total of about $2K (10 hours labor at $75, WORST CASE)

I know a very competent guy can do it in half that time.

The OEM price is similar. As far as which gives the "best" results, that depends on how you define "best" - grip, reliability, cost, lifespan, ease of use, etc.

i see, i didn't catch the "$400 core charge included." well, that makes me feel a lot better. as far as 'best' solution for my needs, i am running a small (75) shot of nitrous and would like to go aftermarket with the lightened flywheel. as far as life on the clutch is concerned, i would hope to get 40-50k of semi-aggressive driving out of it. is that realistic?

well, the time has come for a new clutch. i've been looking at the rebuilt act with lightened dali flywheel. any recommendations? thanks
I have dalis street racer clutch with the tilton lite flywheel.dali was out of stock and sjs was kind enough to sell me his he had not installed.the street racer is a centerforce rebuild.I dont know about act rebuilds but have driven a 4 puck act.what a monster on of period.but I loved it.I think a less aggressive act with the dali tilton fly would be a great combo unless dali gets more street racers in.smooth as butter no chatter except the wows coming from me.as to acura dealers not touching aftermarket partsI HAVE been extremly fortunate with the dealer I use.everything I have had them put on the car I drove there with in the trunk of my suv.good luck and I think for the money the act or street racer are both fine choices.

I do like my ACT clutch.

I purchased it from Davis Acura. With only 15K or so miles I didn't think I would need one, but during my short gear - 4.23 RP upgrade, Mark B and I decided it was time. I might have gone another 7K-10K miles but since it was apart, it made sense to replace it.

I'm responsible for about half of the miles on the car so it's hard to say if the orig owner or me or both are responsible for the somewhat lower than average life.

In any case, I like the ACT. It uses the stock friction materials but has stronger springs. It's not that much stronger (maybe 30%?) but I like the feel and I got used to it in a few days. It cost about $1200 (actually, I think it was much less, I have to check) and came with a flywheel, pressure plate, and throwout and pilot bearing. I had to return the cores.
