Looking for a decent hotel/motel within walking distance of the beach. Like, across the street distance or half a block. Preferably between Pacifica and Santa Cruz. Has to be fairly NSX safe obviously. Looking around online, it seems I can land a decent place from $100 to $200 so my preferred price would be $150. Just one night this friday with a friend of mine. Not a girlfriend so no need to impress. Not a wife so no need to cut down on the nagging. But I'd like to stumble around close to my room along the beach.

Just a suggestion - have you checked out any bed & breakfasts?

I would be all over that in a heartbeat BUT.....

There are no rooms this friday night.

Nothing in particular but I did look into some nice little inns. For example in the small town north of santa cruz called Davenport, they have these neat little theme named rooms. Nothing crazy, but each room/style/theme has it's own story behind it that goes with the area.

The coast hotel posted earlier is really cool, but they're mega booked.

Sea Breeze Motel & Nick's Restuarant in Pacifica have an economy rate at $80. Straight outta the 50's but the common opinion is it's still AWESOME! Rates higher than most of the more expensive and/or trendy places nearby.

Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, lowest price of $500 seemed cool, but damn, they charge $40 to park in their own lot! Then you gotta tip everyone! They can keep it and I'm not ready to spend that type of chedda'.

Oh and my trip is postponed one week. So it'll be next weekend.

Which reminds me. I think someone should organize a BIG nsx meet here in california at the ALMS race in laguna Seca! That would be the perfect weekend to meet up and doing some AWESOME Highway 1 run, run up Hecker Pass. Something cool. The drive from Nor Cal and So Cal would be awesome for you lucky guys! For me, I don't have much of an option to burn up or down the 1 to get there. I live directly east, so it's a straight shot for me, an hour and half away.
