need help with ride from ft lauderdale to miami and back in jan 2010

hey guys,

me, my wife and son are coming to Miami for a cruise in jan 2010 and the airfares to ft lauderdale are much cheeper than into miami..... does anyone know of a shuttle service to and from the airport in ft lauderdale to the port of miami and back a week later.... any help is appriciated....

The FTL airport is about a 45min to 1hr drive to the Port of Miami. It's going to be a PITA taking a shuttle with all of your luggage. I use a car service that would probably cost you about $125 each way for a limo from the airport to the cruise. If you need the number PM me.

Check with your cruise line....Carnival does it for $30.....I've seen most of the cruiseline shuttles at the airport when I've flown out on the weekend, so you should be able to find something that doesn't strip all of your cash. :smile:

Well at $30pp for a shuttle, why not spend $35 more and start your vacation in luxury. Sometimes it's nice to live like a rock star for an hour. I hate taking those shuttle buses and being packed in like a sardine.

Um...because you said it was $125 each way which is $250 vs $60. Me personally...I just leave my car at the port :smile:

I was just trying to throw another option for him since he's asking.....so now he has the "luxury" option and the "sardine" option. Hell, at this point he'll have been on a plane like a sardine for how many hours to get to FLL, what's another 30mins?

Danny, I think we need a math lesson.:biggrin: There are three people in his party and it cost $30pp. So $30x3=$90 each way for a total of $180 round trip. The difference of $70 is well worth it imho.

Ok...I didn't see where the $30 shuttle was per person but I'll just assume you're correct. Why don't you save him the $$$ and take him in your new Benz? Maybe you can give him a quick teeth whitening on the way so he has pearly whites before he boards the ship? :wink:

Hey Dave I live in Hollywood right next to the Ft Lauderdale airport for $75.00 each way I will have you picked up & dropped off in a Luxurious Hummer H2 with plenty of room to spread out just let me know with time.

Call the cruise line or your travel agent. Last time I checked they operate free motorcoach shuttle service between the ports and the airports.

My brother lives in Fort Lauderdale and does this kind of thing on the side. He said that he would charge you $45 one way or $80 round trip. Add $5 per extra live body each way. Let me know if you are interested and I will put you in touch.
