I have problem of installing the radiator duct. The aluminum bar from the ABS is in the way and the alighment is off from the hood looking down. What should I do-cut the radiator duct so the aluminum bar can slide in? And that is what I do not want to do. Please help and is there any better way to fit this duct and the alignment? Thank you in advance.

1st the ABS guard has to go. Completely remove it. Once thats done it fit's completely different. That is most likely why it does'nt fit the hood properly as well. That looks like a Dali RHD duct like mine. If so Theres a thread on this and I will try to dig it up shortly. But the aluminum guard definately must come off.

Theres no need for the bar once the spare is removed. It can be a slight PITA to get off just so you know.

Hey David. I looked at it again. The bar should not be removed, because it is protecting the small hoses coming out from the ABS. With this radiator duct, it would bend those hoses. Plus, it would not allow any much room. Other suggestions. please

Does everyone that did this Radiator Duct install have this problem? I ask as I am getting the duct installed next week and want to make sure I am not missing anything...

I got your PM. I also have a Dali RHD Radiator Duct. Just remove the ABS guard and don't worry about the brake lines connected to the ABS pump. You will need to make some brackets for the duct to fit correctly. My duct does not touch the brake lines, I had this duct on the old ABS and now on the newer ABS and it fits the same. You will also need to relocate one of the fuse box. Look at these threads.

You can also cut the duct so it will fit with the ABS guard like the PROCAR duct.

I chose just to remove the guard.

Good luck,

Ya know I really thought the guard was to protect the lines from the spare tire R&R. If so the guard is useless if your removing the spare completely. I will say once the duct is bolted in place properly you will like the way it looks through the hood vent. I even removed the screen to better see the duct. I've had many people poke there heads in the hood vent out of curiosity and compliment the carbon duct in place.

I would like to thank David and Chris for helping me to install the air duct.

I would like to post the pictures from the top down and through the hole of the hood. I want to ask your opinions about the alignment of the radiator duct. I am still concerning the alignment of the driver side- the edge of the duct is showing more clearly than the dege of the passenger side. Should the alignment of the duct be like these?

My duct does set back more at an angle. I can't see the edges through my hood. Yours looks more vertical. It won't hurt but it's a personal decision. Still nice job.

I tried to move the duct as far as I could, but another obstacle is the radiator hose that will not allow to move any further. If one looks diagonally, he will see the edge on the driver side. Do you have Downforce hood or VIS hood? If you have the VIS hood, the hole might be smaller than Downforce hood?

Did you have to place any boldts on the bottom 2 holes at all? Do you mind to post the pix of the duct with the hood on and with the hood off?

Thank you, David.

VIS hood. I forgot to mention:redface: although it can still be easily done. Remove the duct and trim around the rad hose area. I did it with a bench grinder. It works great and does not hurt the carbon. Just grind it until you have the clearance your happy with. It should resemble the Procar pic above. Sorry I did'nt mention that. It's very easy to trim, and you like the result better.
