Need Help! Test Drive/Check an NSX for Me Please!

I am investigating the purchase of an NSX, but live several states away from the seller. This is a serious request, so I'm not wasting your time!

The car is located in Santa Barbara, CA. If you could help me by checking it out this weekend, I would be most appreciative. I live in Texas and if it works out OK, I might just see you at the NSXPO down here! And, of course, a meal is on me if I get it.

I am located about 40 mins. from Santa Barbara. Did you do a carfax on the car? If you want, I can look at the car and if you really want it, maybe I can meet the owner at the local Acura dealer(located in Ventura, about halfway between the two cities) and have the tech inspect it for you. I have sent the seller an email (since it's early your time, but a couple hours ahead here) and waiting upon his response. I will give you a call the moment he advises me. I'll call him soon if he hasn't had a chance to pick up his email, so I don't keep you guessing.

Oh, and I did run a carfax. Came up clean.

John - Thanks again for your help. I spoke with the seller and will be going out to Cali to check it out this coming week to see myself. Man, those last minute airflight tickets are hell. $$$ vs. some lead notice. I will probably swing by the Ventura dealership on Wednesday - if you want, you can meet me?!

NSX Service Girl - Thanks for volunteering. I actually called about an hour ago at a local dealership and ran a check. The serviceman was nice, but didn't find really anything to report other than a few names and where purchased. The only real data was that no warranty work had ever been done (at least, at a dealership). That's informative, though.

If it pans out for both me and the seller, I will probably use Intercity Lines to ship it back encloseed trailor. They are quoting $1050. I think that's pretty average. Awaiting word on how long it will take them to both pick up the car and ship it to Dallas, TX.

1994 5-speed is the one I'm looking at.

I don't think there were any recalls or "special items" that 94s were subject to (?) Feel free to enlighten me if I'm incorrect. I didn't see anything special in the FAQ (http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Reference/tsb/tsblist.htm) either.

I am always in Ventura or at least 10 mins. away from there. Always have the phone with me. Wow, 1000 shipped to Texas from Cali.? Seems like alot compared to my shipping of North Carolina to So.Cal. being 1750(that included an extra 175 charge to NOT move the car once on the truck).
