Need help on the window reg. issue

I took my door apart today and found what seem to be the updated regulators. BUT, i noticed that one side of the unit was missing the black peice that glides up and down... could that be what is causing a pop? I am going to apply the greese, but not sure what else to do?

The updated regulator is good news.

I really don't know if the missing part is the cause of the popping. My thought is the missing "glider" might cause the popping sounds (since the assembly that holds the window may not slide smoothly without it).

not sure on that .. my driver window was making a "popping" noise when going up ..also went up really slow...


i greased up everything ... and now the window works great !!!!
