NEED HELP!!!!! Blue Smoke when Revving @ Idle

Hey guys,

Did some research but want to get your guys knowledge on this. Not my NSX but my commuter is giving me small amount of blue smoke when revving pass 3000rpm while @ idle. I do not notice smoke while driving. No power loss. I already changed the PCV valve plus PCV elbow.

I am thinking it could be valve seal leak??? but it doesn't smoke @ cold start-up.


Any ideas? Any help>? Car is 2000 Infiniti G20

What is the rate of oil consumption? Compression in spec? Oil pressure in spec? Does it smoke more when the engine is cold or at normal operating temperature? Did the smoking start suddenly? How many miles on the car? What oil are you using?

Sounds like a piston not sealing proper..... time for engine repair

Compression is good, dont have exact numbers. Only smokes at normal operating temp. Only smokes when revved, not at idle. Using 10w-30 synthetic blend. has 169k. Heard blue smoke is more constant and can see while driving when piston seals are going out.
