The previous owner lost the owner's manual on the car. I need some help here:

How do I turn on the fan without kicking in the AC? I hit the auto round button (left side) to get the system on and it always turn the AC on also. I heard it is not that good to turn AC on and off in short interval.

How do I adjust the headlight level (vertically). I read the manual on the FAQ, it just show sticking in a phillips in the hole on the side of the headlights. I peeked through that hole and I don't see any screw in there??? If that is the right place, which direction do I turn to move the aim lower?

I plan to flush the cooling system. Where do I put in the radiator cleaner? I don't see radiator cap anywhere. The only place is the coolant reservoir???

Thanks. ;)

Turn the temp dial all the way to the hottest setting, then hit auto. Then you can hit the AC button and it will say AC off. That should work, I don't think the compressor kicks in when the temp dial is all the way hot.

Don't know, never fooled around with it yet.:)

The refill/bleed procedure is in the service manual on the main page. You put the 50/50 mix in the coolant reservoir. Make sure that before you drain, run the car and turn the heater all the way up on high and shut the car off like that. That drains the coolant from the heater core.

As far as radiator cleaner, I'm not sure what you mean. The procedure is the drain, then refill... same as an oil change. Personally, I would stay away from that old fashion radiator flush kits where you hook your garden hose to the adaptor. Regular water has minerals in it that are not compatible with aluminum engine parts, so unless you have a ton of distilled water at your disposal, skip it.

Oh yeah, I read a tip here that worked for me, and that it jack the rear of the car up on stands when you are bleeding it, helps to avoid air in the system.

Good luck

thanks for the info. So the round 'auto' button is the on/off switch.

As for the radiator cleaner. I meant radiator flush. I just want to clean out the radiator since it is more than 10 years old and I don't want it clog up on me later on. Don't you mix regular water with the coolant (50/50 mix)? So you fill the coolant at the coolant reservoir?

Thanks again. ;)

Yes, you fill the coolant at the coolant reservoir. I prefer the Honda 50/50 pre-mix. You can mix straight coolant with distilled water.

nis350, with regard to running the blower fan w/o the AC being engaged...

The Auto button will tell the system to turn on the AC and heat as needed according to how it was set when you turned it off, but it will always allow the AC to come on. If you want to override the AC, simply push the AC button on the far right row of buttons to tell the climate system "no AC". Everything else will work as usual, just no AC.
